A look back at 2012

This is a list of all the FIRSTS for herARTS in Action in 2012. What a blessed year!
– Selected for New York gallery exhibit which won an international silver medal in surrealism and ended up exhibiting a total of three times at the gallery (New York Realism Fine Art)
– Selected for Moscow exhibit which was the first time Americans were allowed to exhibit in the museum and Russia’s first international exhibition of American visual artists and was asked to leave artwork for the museum’s permanent collection (New York Realism Fine Art)
– Created solo exhibit, “Open Doors,” in honor of Moscow event at Great River Regional Library and 6 of the 10 pieces sold the first night (St. Cloud Arts Commission)
– Received an invitation to have a solo exhibit at the River’s Edge Convention Center in Spring 2013 (Visual Arts MN)
– Media coverage: St. Cloud Times, Long Prairie Leader, University Chronicle, SCSU and SCTCC websites/social media, Great River Regional Library, aroundthecloud.org, Arte Fuse, Scheduled for 2013: SCSU Outlook, SCTCC In Works
– Participated in two Art Crawls at Le St. Germain Suite Hotels
– Registered for juried show in St. Cloud that will take place in 2013 (Visual Arts MN)
– Asked to teach community education art classes to youth to take place in 2013 (St. Cloud Community Education)
– Facilitated two conference sessions on racism and art as a social change tool (Facilitating Racial Equity Collaborative)
– Received $200 from United Way for Central MN Sustainability Project to do art in the garden with refugee children
– Got the name, logo, website domain, twitter, pinterest, etsy, etc. for herARTS in Action

– Participated in four local art exhibits and sketchbook (Visual Arts MN)
– Increase presence and likes on Facebook (including people that don’t even know me!)
